That's a function of your underlying PXE ROM. iPXE has no control over it.

.kkpxe leaves more of the underlying PXE ROM loaded in base memory than
.kpxe. This can sometimes result in the iBFT created by iPXE ending up
below 512kB. If this happens, Windows will fail to find the iBFT and so
will be unable to boot via iSCSI.
