I thought the SNP version was the updated driver? As iPXE didn't even boot Gen2 until you did the driver, i.e. snponly.efi did not work.

Interesting.  Could you run

   make bin-x86_64-efi/ipxe.efi.map

and verify that you see a line such as

   000000000003b010 l     F .text  00000000000000bd netvsc_probe
