In a similar vein, with the significant presence of NIC and system
vendors on the mailing list, do you think it might be possible that we
could reach out to Broadcom(?) to see if they worked around this issue
to supply a PXE ROM for the affected systems in the first place? It
comes to mind that the level of integration there might mean that ugly
hacks were used all around, but it seems like a good place to inquire!
