Hello,
I am trying to port a Windows 7 32bit boot image with AOE to boot on an
other PC using the method described here
http://etherboot.org/wiki/appnotes/port_winnt_sanboot "Installing the
Target NIC".
Importing the nic device registry to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ work and the nic
is displayed als non present device
But after Updating the driver, the driver is only stored in the
FileRepository (like added with "pnputil.exe -a") but not installed.
There is no Service entry in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services and the target PC
hang on boot at the Windows 7 logo.
Does anyone know a working way for Windows 7 ?
With XP this works without any problem.
I tested the method with the Windows 7 e1000 driver and the AMD PCNET
Driver in VMware Workstation.
