If you're talking about how to modify the behavior of iPXE itself, this
is done by changing the files in src/config/*.h as mentioned on
http://ipxe.org/buildcfg and then compiling a new binary as explained
here: http://ipxe.org/download

You'll need a typical Linux environment to compile the files.

iPXE can be scripted to do all sorts of things during runtime, you can
read more about that here: http://ipxe.org/scripting
