Has to be done in each distro.  By the time the kernel starts, the INT13 
interface provided by iPXE is no longer available.  Only the kernel and initrd 
can be loaded via INT13.

The distro can choose to use the iBFT and/or EDD information to locate the 
installation media using a native SAN initiator.
