</div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>As I understand it, sanboot was rewritten some time ago, and the implementation works in such a way that sanbooting a local disk <i>happens </i>to work, as opposed to being <i>designed</i> to work. It's extremely robust with SAN devices, but since booting local disks is really out of the scope of iPXE, it may be unlikely to see sanboot tweaked to make local booting more robust... hence the use of GRUB4DOS here :)</div>
