[ipxe-devel] problem realtek RTL8168/8111 PCIe GBE Family controller

Hi Arkoth!

Some Realtek GBit-Cards a known to make problems with ipxe. This seems
to be based on some undokumented "features" of the card, esp. such
cards, which have a bootrom embedded in bios-code (or chainloaded in RAM).

On linux side you can try to force with ethtool, but in most cases this
seems a problem of your hardware (cables, too!).

My best experience is with Intel 1000GT Cards (about 20-30$).
